Introduce Yourself

I'm Toom, im a producer

How did you get into producing at such a young age?

I use to play a lot of like rhythm games when I was younger and that how I started getting more involved with music. Then I transitioned to rap music. I usually messed around on garage-band mobile until I bought Fl Studio.

How did you get the name toom?

Don't know the exact origin but it was like an accidental nickname that I started using for usernames and stuff.

You know, Being 14 years old. Do a lot of people not take you seriously even though you have found success?

Most ppl treat me the same as they treat other producers I don't really see a difference.

Being from massachusetts, How is the music scene out there?

Pretty dull, especially in the genre of rap I produce in, so I have to work with everyone digitally because there are no connections from this area.

Would you say that most of the people that you have worked with have been outside of massachusetts? I know the internet plays a big part. So how have you been able to make those connections?

Yes, I think almost all the people I work with are not located out of MA, I've made all my connections through the internet so far.

Speaking of success, You produced "RASPUTIA" and "DANGEROUS" For comethazine from "Bawskee 3.5" How did it feel for a artist of that caliber to rap on a beat you made and for it to make it on BillBoard?

Getting on billboard was really cool, I want to get to billboard again soon.

Are there any other artists that you want to work with in 2020?

Yes a lot of them. I can't really list them all.

Speaking of 2020. Who do you think will be next in terms of artists blowing up in the rap scene?

I really don't know right now, I'm always looking for new rappers but I don't have any in my sight of right now.

Lets talk about you. How do you balance school and your free time with producing?

I think i'm pretty good with school work and I usually try to get my work done in school, so I have time at home.

Do people at school know that your a producer or do you like to stay lowkey and away from any attention?

People know its just not really a big deal.

What do you do besides producing? Video games? Reading? or even watching anime?

I code html and play CS:GO. Not watching any animes atm

What if producing doesn't work out? Do you have any other plans for the future?

If producing does not work out, I have a lot of jobs I could do but Im gonna focus on this for now.

Favorite foods?

My favorite food is pasta premavera. Its like spicy pasta with vegetables and its really good but the only restaurant that made it closed. Besides that I like Mexican food, Chick Fil-A.

Back to producing. What is your ultimate goal for producing and for your future?

Expand range of artists I work with, go platinum

You have any advice for other producers who are up in coming or that are in the same age range as you?

Ive seen a few producers who are similair ages to me and a lot of them are very difficult and annoying to work with. So I'd say probably focus on your craft and think before you talk.

Whats next? Any new music? Any new placements?

I have a lot of unreleased songs with different artists, but it may take time to see them.

Any parting words for the readers?

I have a lot of unreleased songs with different artists, but it may take time to see them.
