Armani Stops By And Talks With Us About His Favorite Films, Fashion Brands And Why He Is In FIRSTPLACE! Read Below

Cassidy Reese x October 9th, 2019

Fast cars, designer brands, private jets and anything with VVS diamonds, Armani is sapient. If you love the idea of upper echelon lifestyle and gritty lyrics with rattling trap instrumentals Armani’s music will be more than satisfactory. This 17 year old Colorado native is more than talented. Listening to Armani you can expect clever wordplay, confident delivery and atmospheric vocal presence. To say the least he is in FIRSTPLACE!

Introduce yourself. How old are you, where did you grow up?

My name is Armani, I’m 17 years old, I was born in Colorado, grew up in Florida but I moved back to Colorado and that’s where I stay now.

What inspired you to start doing music?

Really while I was living in Florida the whole music scene and just the people I was around inspired me to start doing music, and I saw other people doing it and getting exposure so I was like “I can do that shit too let’s go”.

You reference a lot of high end fashion brands and upper class materialism in your music. What inspires this upper echelon lyricism?

I reference a lot of high end shit because I used to not be able to have it, I mean I got a single dad and it wasn’t like I never had shit at all, my dad made sure I had everything I needed, but I couldn’t always afford the things I wanted, but now that I’m havin like that I can get those high end things I always wanted, and it’s also just something in my head I always want the best of everything.

You’ve been gaining fans rapidly the past 6 months. How does it feel to have so many new eyes on you and what’s next? Project? Collabs?

Yeah I mean it feels good to finally get the exposure I’ve been working towards but I ain’t satisfied yet ima still keep going hard till I get where I wanna but I appreciate all my supporters, I recently dropped a song with Kan, so now I’m just laying back finishing my tape for y’all titled “4 Da Goons”.

Do you believe in aliens? Alternate universes?

Definitely, man I’m damn near and alien, but yeah I do for sure, we can’t be the only ones in this universe and we can’t be the only universe ever, I know there’s some extraterrestrial shit out there somewhere government just gotta reveal it.

You reference the film ‘Scarface’ and Tony Montana quite a bit across your discography. How has the motion picture influenced your music?

Scarface used to be a big part of my music, one of my favorite movies of all time, it gave me motivation and inspiration so I thought it was only right to reference it, but now that shit corny and worn out so I don’t reference it anymore.

Who are your favorite producers and artists to collab with?

There’s so many great artists and producers that I love to work with but artist wise for sure Dom, Macten, Rino, Kan and Tyjuan, as for producers I’d have to say Lj, Cody Lemont, Lame O, Goyxrd, Mingo and Downbad.

You reference relationships and showing females a finer lifestyle in your music. What’s the most romantic thing you’ve done?

I just like letting females know like when you're with me you’re gonna get nothing short of the world, I’m not afraid to blow a bag on the people I care for especially the females in my life and ima do what I can to give you everything, as for the most romantic thing I’ve ever done that’s to be announced.

You and Dom have been working together a lot lately, what’s the story behind meeting him?

Dom is my brother, since the day we met it’s been 100% compatibility and pure chemistry, we really can’t make a bad song when we work together, I met Dom through a group chat that we not gon speak on but ever since then it’s been only up for us and you can expect a lot of us very soon maybe even a tape.

Cartoons? Anime? Video games? What are you into besides music? Any strange hobbies?

Music really all I do, I wake up record, eat record, play the game record, it’s really non stop but when I’m not recording I’m probably with my girl or sleeping foreal.

Who’s underrated in the underground scene right now?

Underrated in the scene right now definitely Macten, you’re going to be hearing a lot from him soon and see the generation he’s going to create and genre he’ll lead, underrated producers I think are Nightfall, 6Cults, Kass, Downbad, and Tae Huncho.

What is one of your favorite lines you’ve said?

I have a lot of favorite lines I’ve said lol, but my favorite is probably a line I said in an unreleased song produced by Lame-O where I said “I put a band on ya head lil sport”, I don’t know why but I just love that line.

You’re apart of the group D1. Who are the members and what does it mean to be “D1”

D1 or Divine 1s is an old group that kind of died out after most of the members just combined with Slayworld, but recently Rino hit me and Dom and told us he wanted to revive it but have us run it so we went ahead and ran with it now we have D1 back on the scene. Right now the members are Summrs, Autumn, Dom, Evii, Thrillboy, Cody Lemont, Dior Blunt, Snoozed, Yeat, Neimxn, Sleepsound, ZeeGoinXrazy, Goyxrd and myself.

If you could only wear one designer brand for the rest of your life what would it be?

If I’m wearing only one designer brand for the rest of my life I’d probably where Yves Saint Laurent.

You seem to be having a lot of fun on Instagram. Any advice for smaller artists trying to promote themselves on social media?

I don’t really care about social media or followers, but I do at the same time because nowadays the internet and social media is the main way people are blowing up, so you’ll catch me on Instagram a lot networking or just kicking it and I always respond to my dms and my supporters so if anybody ever needs anything just hit my dm I respond as quickly as I can. For smaller artists just continue to push your name and get it out there, network, join group chats, share your music everywhere that you can, just don’t be annoying and send me or anybody else links out of nowhere cause we not gonna listen to it.

Alright that’s about it. Any parting words for Readers?

Thanks for the interview, thank you to all my supporters and I’ma continue to keep goin crazy for y’all, 4 Da Goons coming very very soon you already know how we rockin, I love y’all.
